Questions we actually get.

Is it really free?

Yes — 1 invoice and 1 quote every day, forever, no card details asked. When you're invoicing more than that, Business is R99/month for unlimited. Most one-person businesses never need to pay.

Do I need to download an app?

No. It works inside the WhatsApp you already have — save +27 64 339 7344 and message it. The web portal is just a bonus for seeing everything in one place.

I'm not VAT-registered — does that matter?

That's most of our users. Your invoices stay plain — no VAT line, no "Tax Invoice" wording (charging VAT without being registered is illegal). If you register later, add your VAT number in Settings and every document from then on carries the correct 15% breakdown, SARS-style.

Is my data safe? What about POPIA?

Each business's data lives in its own isolated vault. Login is by one-time code to your own WhatsApp — no passwords to leak. Changing banking details requires a fresh code and alerts you immediately. You can download everything we hold as a ZIP, or delete your account permanently, any time in Settings. Full details in our privacy notice.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — subscriptions are monthly via PayFast, cancel whenever. Your account drops back to the free plan; your documents and history stay exactly where they are.

What do my customers see?

A professional PDF with your business name, logo, line items, banking details and payment reference — arriving by email from your business, or forwarded by you on WhatsApp. They never need WhatInvoice themselves.

Who's behind this?

WhatInvoice is built and run in South Africa by SANDZ — the same team behind security and business systems for real SA businesses. It runs on our own infrastructure, not rented seats on someone else's product.
